Thank you to all who participated in the Original Chinese Wooden Dragon Boat steering clinic held on June 4 and 5 at Marine Park in Salmon Arm. It was special having Wing Wong spend the weekend with us and pass his knowledge and experience on to those who were able to attend. A big thanks to everyone who travelled to Salmon Arm for this event. It was sunny, hot and hard work and everyone went away feeling good for what they learned and for the experience of being in the teaks for the first time.
Teak 1 and Teak 2 are in the water and they float!! They are beautiful boats and move majestically through the water. Teak 3 should be completed in time for its Awakening at the Kamloops Dragon Boat Festival on Saturday August 6. We are really looking forward to that special occasion.
